“A healthy mind in a healthy body” – Nothing could better illustrate this maxim than the importance of sport in the development of our children, where effort is combined with joy, camaraderie and respect.

As part of the Quebec Ministry of Education’s directive to support the development of school sports infrastructures, École Rudolf Steiner de Montréal has undertaken a major renovation project for the summer of 2024: the transformation of its Grande Salle into a modern, multi-purpose gymnasium. This initiative, part of the school’s 45th anniversary, aims to better meet the needs of our students while strengthening our openness to the community.

Completely renovated, our new gymnasium is now available for rental. Whether it’s for local sports associations, dance classes, community gatherings or private events, this space can accommodate a multitude of activities.
The work involved modernizing the floor, securing the electrical installations, improving soundproofing, adding storage for equipment and installing equipment for basketball, volleyball and badminton.
Thanks to the participation of the Ministère de l’Éducation and the generosity of our donors, our school now has a sports facility worthy of its ambitions – a real asset for the students, the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighbourhood and the entire community.
